ATHENS (Sputnik) – Sisi is currently in Greece for a visit.
"Our bilateral cooperation is based on a very robust basis and we give particular importance to broadening and deepening it. We have excellent opportunities in areas such as multilateral economic cooperation, energy, delimitation of maritime zones, in the spheres of maritime and air transport, construction and infrastructure," Tsipras said Tuesday after a meeting with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi.
According to Tsipras, he and Sisi also discussed issues on the international agenda, such as the crises in Syria and Libya, as well as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the global fight against terrorism.
Sisi in turn noted a high level of military and security cooperation with Greece, calling it exemplary.
Cairo and Athens have strong cultural ties and enjoy friendly relations.
