MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Earlier in the day, representatives of nearly 200 countries finalized the final draft of a landmark global agreement to tackle climate change.
The largest rally began at 2:00 p.m. [13:00 GMT] and will last up to 4:30 p.m. [15:30 GMT] near the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars park, according to Le Parisien.
The action’s organizers claim the demonstration has been authorized by Paris police despite the state of emergency currently in force.

Later in the day, activists will take to a major boulevard to unroll two 100-meter banners with the slogans "Keep It In The Ground" and "Crimes Climatiques, Stop!" Afterward, they will place over 5,000 red tulips along the banners, the newspaper added.
The action is coordinated by the 350.org climate-focused initiative, the alter-globalization movement Attac, the Confederation Paysanne farmers' union, a French federation of anti-nuclear groups, the civil disobedience climate justice group Climate Games and many others.
