MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Maintaining Russia's strategic nuclear forces will be a key priority for the country's Armed Forces in 2016, General Staff Chief Valery Gerasimov said Monday.
"The main directions for further development of the Armed Forces that year will be maintaining the state of strategic offensive and strategic defensive forces at a level that guarantees the fulfillment of tasks related to the deterrence of aggression against the Russian Federation and its allies," Gerasimov told foreign military attaches.
