MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the launch of the second leg of a so-called energy bridge between Russian mainland and the Crimean peninsula on Tuesday.
Crimea was left without electricity in late November after power lines from Ukraine to the peninsula were exploded by extremists. The first leg of the bridge, aimed to decrease Crimea's electricity deficit, was launched on December 2.
