KHARTOUM (Sputnik) – On December 20-22, the Russian-Sudanese intergovernmental commission on trade and economy is due to hold a regular meeting in Sudan's capital Khartoum.
"The Ministry of Trade has prepared proposals to enhance the trade between Russia and Sudan and will present them at the negotiating table of the joint ministerial council in Khartoum in the next few weeks," Nafisa Mohamed Ahmed said.
She added that Sudan wanted to increase its export by means of holding exhibitions in Russia.
At the moment, Sudan exports to Russia sugar, cotton and sesame, while the most significant articles of Russian import to the African country are arms, transport vehicles and technical products, according to the Sudanese Ministry of Trade.
