WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – The bill, approved earlier on Friday morning by the House of Representatives, will fund all 12 federal government agencies for the next year. Both houses of Congress also approved of a $622 tax bill, including permanent tax cuts for corporations.
The White House is expected to sign the omnibus bill into law with approximately $580 billion in defense spending, and approximately $520 in non-defense spending. The bill includes new cybersecurity legislation as well as a repeal of the four-decade old ban on oil exports.
