MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, the Boeing 777 plane flying from Mauritius to Paris with 473 people on board made an emergency landing in the second-largest Kenyan city of Mombasa due to a suspicious object found by a passenger. The airport authority said Kenyan bomb experts had discovered a bomb, the information later disproved by the authority itself.
According to Kenyan Interior Minister Joseph Nkaissery, two passengers are suspected in mounting the object in a plane’s lavatory.
The Air France airline is due to send a plane to Kenya to pick up passengers from Mombasa.
