WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US-Canada partnership remains vital to shaping global and regional issues and advancing regular, high-level dialogue on common between senior leaders from both governments, the release added.
"The group, which last met in May 2015, discussed areas of cooperation across a broad range of bilateral, regional and global issues to include peacekeeping operations, climate change, security and North America," the release stated on Monday.
On Sunday, Canadian Minister of National Defense Harjit Sajjan met with Iraqi Defense Minister Khaled Obeidi to discuss how to further cooperation as well as address security issues.
