New Year, Old Fear
16:18 GMT 28.12.2015 (Updated: 16:19 GMT 28.12.2015) Austrians have received a warning of an increased terror threat and will step up security measures in places where large crowds are expected to gather during the holiday season.
On Saturday, Austrian police stated that several European capitals received a warning from a "friendly intelligence service" about possible terrorist attacks during the holiday season.
Austrian law enforcers have increased monitoring and surveillance following the warning although they had no additional information on the threat in terms of place or time.
