The 17-year-old boy wasn't particularly happy about his president's policies and did what most people, especially at his age, do and shared his political thoughts on his Facebook account.
After he expressed his opinion on social media, Turkish authorities knocked on his door and the next thing he knew, he was sitting in a closed prison cell in Terikdag, the source said.
The boy is identified only by his initials F. E. and was arrested on charges of "insulting Erdogan," according to Dogan News Agency. Quite a tough measure for a kid in a so-called democracy with free speech, isn't it?
Calling people names isn't a good thing per se, but arresting kids for doing that might be even worse, especially in a country which claims to have democratic values and freedom of speech.
