KIEV (Sputnik) — Ukraine will not agree to any debt restructuring proposals other than those it has already voiced, and will keep its moratorium on Russian debt payments until Moscow accepts Kiev's conditions, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said Tuesday.
"The government of Ukraine introduced a moratorium on the payment of $3 billion in debt to the Russian Federation. Russia refused to take part in debt restructuring, Russia refused to accept the conditions accepted by all adequate lenders in the world. And that is why the government decided to impose a moratorium and halt the payment of any debt to Russia until Russia accepts Ukraine's stance and agrees to debt restructuring," Yatsenyuk told reporters.
