WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Price explained that as part of the initiative the State Department would also establish a Global Engagement Center that would allow the United States to work with international partners to fight extremism.
"Today the US Government is announcing new initiatives to improve our international and domestic efforts to counter violent extremism," Price said.
The announcement comes as senior Obama administration officials including the president’s counterterrorism advisor Lisa Monaco, US Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson are in Silicon Valley meeting with executives from America’s top technology companies to discuss ways to prevent terrorists or criminals from launching attacks in cyberspace.
