TOKYO (Sputnik) – During their meeting in Tokyo, the sides reached a consensus on sending British fighter jets to Japan and carrying out drills with the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force, the Kyodo news agency said.
Tokyo and London underlined a need to swiftly sign a deal on cross-deliveries of military equipment and services.
The sides also condemned any manifestations of terrorism during the talks and called on the international community to adopt common anti-terrorism measures, the news outlet added.
Japan and the United Kingdom are set to hold a joint seminar to boost their military power on January 19 in the Philippines.
