MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The blast carried out by a suicide bomber on Wednesday targeted a civilian bus with over 30 staff from Kaboora Production, a sister entity to Afghanistan's TOLO TV. The incident left seven people dead and 26 injured.
The arrest took place following a special operation in Hussainkhail village of Bagrami district in the central part of Kabul Province, TOLOnews reported, citing an NDS statement.
Those behind the blast are "apparently associated" with the Haqqani Network and plotted an attack on TOLO TV staff, the statement reads.
The Haqqani Network, designated by the US government as a terrorist organization in 2012, is an ally to other terrorist organizations, namely the Taliban group and al-Qaeda.
