MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier this week, media reports emerged claiming that the White House had authorized US military personnel to target Daesh terrorist group in Afghanistan.
"All such initiatives, according to the instructions, have to first be coordinated by the US side with the representatives of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and then, based on the agreements reached, have to be approved by the government," Nazifa Zaki said.
"But it has to done with consensus. [US President Barack] Obama’s initiative is likely to find support in Afghanistan," the lawmaker said.
Afghanistan is experiencing political, social and security instability, as the Taliban movement and other radical extremist organizations such as Daesh continue staging attacks against civilian and state targets.
