A delegation of Russian lawmakers, headed by speaker of the lower house of Russian parliament Sergey Naryshkin, arrived in Cairo for a tow-day visit earlier on Tuesday. During the visit, the parliament speaker is set to meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Sisi.
"I hope that this [visit] will be the beginning of close cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries, which eventually will help to eliminate many problems and create the atmosphere of even better relationship between the two countries," Orabi told RIA Novosti.
Russia imposed ban on flights to Egypt due to security concerns following the crash of a Russia-operated Airbus A321 over Egypt's Sinai Peninsula in October, which killed all 224 people on board, after an explosive device detonated in the passenger compartment.
