The Sunday terrorist attacks in the Syrian capital of Damascus constitute an attempt to torpedo the intra-Syrian talks underway in Geneva, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said in the letters sent to the UN Security Council and its head.

At Least 30 Killed in Terror Attack in Main Shiite District Near Damascus

DAMASCUS (Sputnik) — Three blasts took place near a Shiite shrine in the Sayyidah Zaynab suburb town near Damascus earlier in the day. At least 59 people were reported dead, with over 120 injured.

"The terrorist attacks in Sayyidah Zaynab are an attempt by the terrorist groups supported by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar to wreck all efforts aimed to launch intra-Syrian talks," Alikhbaria news channel quoted the ministry's statement.
