MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Trump refused to appear in the nationally-televised debate of Republican presidential candidates on Fox News earlier this week because of his feud with anchor Megyn Kelly for allegedly treating him unfairly in a previous debate.

Asked if he planned to be at the February 6 debate in Manchester, New Hampshire, Trump told the local broadcaster that, "I think I will be there. I look forward to it. I look forward to the debates, as you know."

The billionaire businessman said that his key rival, Texas Senator Ted Cruz, was "badly hurt" at the presidential debate in Iowa. He added the night he ditched the debate on Fox News turned out to be a good one for him as he raised $6 million for war veterans at a rally he organized at 24 hours-notice.

According to the final Iowa poll, Trump is in the lead with 28 percent of votes. Ted Cruz stands at 23 percent. Next Saturday’s debate comes as New Hampshire prepares to hold the first primary vote to select the Democratic and Republican parties’ nominees for the US presidency.
