MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Emergencies Ministry is ready to provide assistance to China in managing the consequences of the Taiwan earthquake, the Russian emergencies minister said in a letter to Chinese Minister of Civil Affairs Li Liguo.
“In accordance with the agreement between the government of Russia and the government of China on cooperation in the field of emergency management, we inform you that the Russian Emergencies Ministry is ready to provide practical assistance to colleagues from the People's Republic of China,” the letter reads, as quoted by the ministry’s press service.
At least 11 died and around 460 were injured in the earthquake that shook Taiwan earlier on Saturday.
