KLIMOVSK (Moscow Region) (Sputnik) — Russia is developing a remote controlled robot to carry out tasks at Russia's planned national space station, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said Saturday.
"A combat robot may be used not only on the battlefield but also in space. The work on the creation of a remote controlled robot that would be one of the crew members at the future Russian national orbital station, has been assigned," Rogozin said.
Earlier in the day, the Russian scientists demonstrated two prototypes of anthropomorphic platforms for carrying out complicated tasks in copying, supervisory control and autonomous modes as well as for processing systems of dynamic equilibrium, dynamic step and complex coordination by an operator.
