Turkey Issues Arrest Warrants for Oppositionist Fethullah Gulen’s Movement
ANKARA (Sputnik) — In November 2015, Dundar and Gul, editor and Ankara bureau chief of the opposition newspaper Cumhuriyet, respectively, were arrested following accusations by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the head of Turkey’s National Intelligence Organization (MIT) against the two after they had brought to light the involvement of MIT in arms deliveries to Syria.

The decision of the Constitutional Court regarding the two journalists could pave the way to their potential release.

Turkey's public prosecutors have requested aggravated life sentences for Dundar and Gul without the possibility of parole.
