WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Seven airstrikes near two Syrian cities, Abu Kamal and Hawl, were undertaken on February 24, and destroyed tactical units, buildings, as well as a gas and oil separation plant, according to the press release.
"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted seven strikes using attack, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL [Daesh] targets," the spress release said. "Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 15 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against ISIL [Daesh] targets."
The US-led coalition also conducted 15 airstrikes near seven Iraqi cities to the north and west of Baghdad, including Fallujah and Mosul. The strikes destroyed multiple Daesh tactical units and fighting positions, as well as an improvised weapons factory.
