MOSCOW (Sputnik) — An explosion in Afghanistan's capital of Kabul took place on Saturday, leaving at least 12 people killed and eight others wounded, local media reported, citing the Afghan Defense Ministry.
According to Pajhwok news agency, a suicide bomber has carried out the explosion near the defense ministry.
No radical group active in the region has yet claimed responsibility for the incident.
Earlier in the day, a suicide attack near the governor’s office in northeastern Afghanistan’s Kunar province killed more than 10 and wounded some 50 civilians.
