"We have now sent our employees to the town where it happened so that they could in the Sheriffs's office see some documents, on the basis of which we could make a conclusion considering their nationality," Yushmanov said.
Andrey Yushmanov also noted that the two boys could have been re-adopted.
"Of course, what adds to the complexity [of the investigation] is the fact that, according to our operational information, the children could have been re-adopted. Accordingly, we can not exclude the possibility that this surname — Carlson — is not the surname under which they were adopted," Yushmanov said.
