MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Last week, PSOE and the centrist-left Citizens party signed a coalition agreement. Following the deal, Podemos quit coalition talks with socialists and pledged to vote against the candidacy of PSOE leader Pedro Sanchez for the post of the country's prime minister on March 1.
"PSOE sent us several documents that are a copy-paste of their deal with the Citizens, except for the most shameful measures. This is not serious," Iglesias wrote on Twitter.
The deal with the Citizens provided Sanchez with 130 out of 176 votes required for a parliamentary majority, necessary to form a government. Podemos controls 69 seats in the parliament.
