HMEYMIM (Sputnik) — The incident occurred near the town of Kensaba, located near the Syrian border with Turkey. All the victims of the attacks are Syrians.
The news comes after Russian and foreign journalists had been shelled in the same area earlier on Tuesday.
The shelling was carried out from the direction of the Turkish border area, from the Dama settlement near Idlib, Russia’s Defense Ministry spokesman Maj. Gen. Igor Konashenkov said.
Russia and the United States reached an agreement on the introduction of a ceasefire in Syria on February 22. The ceasefire took effect on Saturday. The cessation of hostilities does not apply to designated terrorist organizations operating in Syria, including Daesh and al-Nusra Front.
