DAMASCUS (Sputnik) – At least 80 foreign mercenaries have fled the Islamic State (ISIL or Daesh) jihadist group-held eastern Syrian province of Deir Ezzor, local sources told Sputnik on Sunday.
"IS is pursuing them now. They have set up several roadblocks to capture them," sources in the local population said.
In neighboring Madan en route to the terrorist group’s stronghold in Raqqa, Daesh militants executed eight Dutch militants on March 1 behind accusations of their attempts to flee.
