GENEVA (Sputnik) – Kurdish representatives are taking part in intra-Syrian talks as part of the Saudi-formed High Negotiations Committee (HNC) opposition group, HNC Adviser Bader Jamus said Thursday, disputing opposite claims.
"We have the biggest share of Kurds [in the HNC]. There are 13 parties," Jamus told reporters.
"Claims that there are no Kurds here are untrue. I have personally met [UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan] de Mistura, and he said that we represent the interests of the Kurds. I heard that from Mr. de Mistura personally," he stressed.
