GENEVA (Sputnik) – The Hmeymim Syrian opposition group plans to discuss draft constitution, economic sanctions and women's participation in politics with UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, a member of the group told Sputnik on Friday.
"We want to talk with de Mistura about the new constitution and elections and how we can build a new Syria. We even have some economic proposals, concerning lifting of the economic sanctions," Mais Krydee said ahead of talks with the UN envoy.
"We also want to talks about the rights of women in Syria and their representation in politics," Krydee added.
The group will hold another meeting with UN Special Envoy Staffan De Mistura by next Wednesday.
"We will be meeting with De Mistura again, possibly before next Wednesday," Mais Krydee said following the meeting.
The delegation formed at the Hmeimim air facility arrived in Geneva on Wednesday to participate in the March 14-24 intra-Syrian talks between Damascus and the opposition.
