"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted four strikes using attack aircraft against Daesh targets," CENTCOM stated on Monday. "Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted seven strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using fighter and remotely piloted aircraft against Daesh targets."
The airstrikes in Syria were conducted near four cities, including Kobani and Manbij, and destroyed an Daesh tactical unit as well as mortar and fighting positions.
The US-led coalition also conducted seven airstrikes near five Iraqi cities to the north and west of Baghdad, including Sinjar, Ramadi and Mosul. The strikes destroyed multiple Daesh tactical units and struck terrorists’ headquarters, among other targets.
Daesh is a terrorist group outlawed in the United States, Russia and in numerous other countries. The infamous group has seized large areas in Syria and Iraq and declared a caliphate on territories under its control.
