US Military, Intelligence May Help Find Brussels Terrorist Attackers
22:26 GMT 22.03.2016 (Updated: 10:50 GMT 06.08.2022) The US military and intelligence services may assist in finding the fugitive suspect wanted in connection with Tuesday’s deadly attacks in Brussels, US Senator Richard Durbin told Sputnik.
HAVANA (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, President Barack Obama offered in a phone call with Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel any assistance necessary in investigating the terrorist attacks, the White House said.
"I am sure that our military and intelligence agencies are working to find those responsible," Durbin said.
The Daesh has claimed responsibility for the attacks that killed 34 people.
Belgian federal police issued a wanted notice for a man seen in closed-circuit camera footage shortly before the attacks in the Zaventem airport in Brussels.
Last week, Belgian police arrested Salah Abdeslam, a Belgian-born French national who allegedly planned the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris, France.
