MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Ibrahim Bakraoui, one of the suspected Brussels suicide bombers, was put on the US terror watch list before the deadly November terrorist attacks in Paris, The Telegraph reports.
The second suspected attacker, Ibrahim’s brother Khalid, was put on the counterterrorism list "shortly afterwards," The Telegraph said citing anonymous sources on Friday.
Daesh jihadist group, outlawed in many countries including Russia, has claimed responsibility for the Brussels attacks.
Daesh has also claimed responsibly for the deadly Paris attacks that took the lives of 130 people and injured some 350 in November 2015.
The Brussels attacks came days after police arrested Salah Abdeslam, a suspect in the Paris attacks.
According to the Belgian prosecutor’s office, Abdeslam was questioned on the Paris attacks before the Brussels tragedy, but refused to speak during questioning after the Brussels attacks.
