ANKARA (Sputnik) — A number of world leaders, including Erdogan, are expected to gather for the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS), due to run in the United States from March 31 to April 1.
"Of course, within the framework of such summits there is a place for bilateral meetings. There will be a meeting that we requested, and the meetings that were requested from us. We are now working on ways to hold a bilateral meeting with President Obama," Kalin said.
On Sunday, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing US officials, that Obama had rejected a proposal to have a one-on-one meeting with Erdogan. The Turkish president administration has said that it has no information about a reported cancellation.
