The petition which is addressed to Home Secretary Theresa May states:
"David Cameron presents a clear and present danger to the short, medium and long term interests of the country. As such, the UK should institute a temporary ban on his return to Britain at the conclusion of his holiday in Lanzarote."
Official pictures of the Prime Minister and his wife Samantha Cameron enjoying a drink on the sunny Spanish island of Lanzarote provoked fury after David Cameron urged the British public to holiday in the North of England to reignite tourism following the devastating Boxing Day floods.

Tim Farron, leader of the Liberal Democrat party lead the criticism of Cameron's holiday destination and was quick to promote the North as a holiday spot, suggesting an added bonus would be that "you seem guaranteed not to bump into him [David Cameron]."
"The Prime Minister has jetted off already for a few days' relaxation in Spain… so while the Prime Minister ignores his own comments about visiting the North, what I am saying is that we are open for business and I urge people to come and visit and see some of the beautiful scenery in the country."
A Downing Street public relations campaign recently backfired in Yorkshire — a region heavily affected by the winter's storms — after the region's newspaper discovered a personal letter written by the Prime Minister, espousing the virtues of Yorkshire as a holiday destination, had been sent to every local newspaper in the country.

The Prime Minister's apparently very 'personal' letter began with the words: "I love Yorkshire & the Humber." However, elsewhere in the south of England, Plymouth newspaper, The Herald, published a written article from David Cameron which also began with the words: "I love Cornwall and Isles of Scilly."
Proud of @yorkshirepost for standing up against the PMs insincere and copy & pasted love letter to Yorkshire https://t.co/e2uolRBxr4

The press release which coincided with a promotion to encourage more tourism in England was subsequently dropped by The Yorkshire Post, which decided it would be a "disservice to readers to print it while the region is still recovering from this winter's dreadful storms".
Meanwhile, the recent petition calling for Britain's Prime Minister to be banned from re-entering the UK after his holiday in Spain which has provoked satirical comments does possess a serious side. It was launched by Kerry-Anne Mendoza, a former consultant to the NHS and banking sector, now an independent journalist and Occupy movement member.
The calls for the PM to be banned from Britain comes at a time the NHS is in the spotlight with junior doctors in England planning further strike action in April, in protest of a new working contracts imposed on them by health secretary Jeremy Hunt. They claim the changes will put patient safety at risk and harm staff morale. It's the first time doctors have taken industrial action in 40 years.
The recent budget announced by the Prime Minister's Chancellor George Osborne has been accused of giving "tax breaks to the rich paid for by those who can least afford it". Halton MP Derek Twigg said the government's 2016 budget has "unfairness at its very core."
It's not surprising pictures of David and Samantha Cameron drinking beer on the Spanish island of Lanzarote might leave many British people with a bad taste in their mouth.
