MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Kremlin will make a statement on the possible visit of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Moscow when details are clarified, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Wednesday.
On Tuesday, media reported of upcoming Netanyahu's visit to Moscow, citing an Israeli official. Netanyahu is reportedly set to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on April 21.
"The possibility of Mr. Netanyahu visit to Moscow is being studied, we will make a corresponding statement," Peskov told reporters.
Israeli President Reuven Rivlin visited Moscow on March 16 to meet with Putin. During the meeting, the Russian leader noted he was planning to hold talks with the Israeli prime minister in the near future.
