GROZNY (Sputnik) — According to the Chechen leader, despite the economic crisis, fixed capital investment in 2015 for the republic grew by 1.5 percent and amounted to $907 million.
"In 2015, 138 projects were completed in Chechnya. In 2016, 174 investment projects worth 265.3 billion rubles are being realized, and they will allow for the creation of some 9,500 jobs," Kadyrov said.
According to the republic's leader, the largest projects include the construction of a sports tourist complex worth $886 million, a high-rise multi-purpose complex worth $812 million, and the Grozny thermal power plant worth $668 million, among others.
"All projects are important for the Chechen Republic and their realization will allow for leveraging the economic potential that we have — climate conditions, human resources, geography, as well as increasing budget revenues on all levels," Kadyrov said.
