Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer in Moscow on Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with his Austrian counterpart Heinz Fischer in Moscow on Wednesday to discuss bilateral cooperation.

Putin to Meet With Austrian President Fischer April 6
Fischer arrived on an official two-day visit to the Russian capital on Tuesday at Putin’s invitation.

The two leaders will discuss a wide range of issues in Russian-Austrian relations in the trade and economic spheres, as well as cultural and humanitarian issues, according to the Kremlin’s press service. The presidents will talk about the implementation of agreements reached during Putin's visit to Austria in June 2014.

Austria Could Build More Border Fences as Part of 'Fortress Europe' Plans
Putin and Fischer will reportedly have a comprehensive exchange of opinions on pressing international and regional problems. Taking into account Austria’s presidency in Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) in 2017, special emphasis will be placed on European security, the press service added.

Fischer is also expected to meet with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, later on Wednesday. They will discuss development of Russian-Austrian relations, including trade, economic, investment and energy cooperation as well as cultural, humanitarian, historical and memorial issues, according to the Russian government.
