MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The two F-16 aircraft entered the Greek airspace over the northeastern island of Oinousses in the Aegean Sea at an altitude of 9,000 feet, the Kathimerini newspaper reported.
According to the media outlet, Greek aircraft chased off the Turkish jets.
The Greek military recorded over 1,400 cases of national airspace violations in 2015, according to aggregate incidents' data published on the Hellenic National Defence General Staff's website.
