US President Barack Obama showed decency by admitting that the lack of planning following the US intervention in Libya was a mistake, though the line of US mistakes continues, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to Putin, Obama's confession, made in a recent interview with Fox News, shows that the US leader is an honest and strong man.

"This is a good thing. The bad thing is that the line of mistakes continues. They almost made the very same mistake in Syria and the outcome is unclear so far," Putin said during an annual Q&A session.
