MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Reports emerged on Friday that a government warplane killed up to 16 militants and injured 20 in the besieged northern province of Idlib.
One of the figures killed was Abu Daoud Baljiki, who according to a jihadism expert quoted by Le Soir daily held "senior positions" within AL-Nusra Front.
Alongside Daesh, al-Nusra Front is not part of the ongoing ceasefire in Syria, which was mediated by the United States and Russia in February.
