As it looks increasingly likely that presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump will go up against Democrat Hillary Clinton in the upcoming general election, the billionaire has begun to address his issues among female voters by going after Bill Clinton’s controversial sexual history.

Real estate mogul Donald Trump has a troubled history with women. As Fox News host Megyn Kelly pointed out in a debate, he has called women "fat pigs, dogs, slobs, and disgusting animals." These comments led Trump to describe Kelly as having "blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever."

Over the weekend, the New York Times published an article detailing several instances in which the Republican presidential hopeful displayed misogynistic behavior in the workplace over the last few decades.

Discussing the article with conservative host Sean Hannity on Fox News on Wednesday, Trump criticized the New York Times for failing to address allegations against the husband of his Democratic rival, former president Bill Clinton.

"For example, I looked at the New York Times," Hannity said. "Are they doing to interview Juanita Broaddrick? Are they going to interview Paula Jones? Are they going to interview Kathleen Wiley?"

Americans Have ‘Growing Doubts’ About Clinton Campaign

Each of these women, at one time, made allegations of sexual misconduct against Bill Clinton.

"In one case, it’s about exposure," Hannity continue. "In another case, it’s about groping and fondling and touching against a woman’s will."

"And rape," Trump suggested.

"And rape," Hannity parroted.

The rape allegations refer to Juanita Broaddrick, a former nursing-home administrator from Arkansas who accused former President Clinton of forcing himself on her during his 1978 gubernatorial campaign. Clinton denied Broaddrick’s claims.

Looking for a US President Not Bogged Down by Corruption? Good Luck

"I was so furious at that story," Trump stated, "because there’s nobody that respects women more than I do, Sean, you know that. And I treat women with respect."

"And I have – we all have fun. We all have good times."

Allegations against Clinton are fair game, given his high-profile stature. But so is Trump, especially now that he’s the presumptive Republican frontrunner and possibly the next president of the United States.

The billionaire has made his feelings about the press well known, but until he gets to “open up our libel laws,” as promised, he’s going to have to develop some thicker skin.
