MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Aeroflot CEO Vitaly Savelyev said last month that the deliveries of 22 Airbus A350s in 2018-2023 and 20 Boeing 787 Dreamliners in 2017-2019 would be rescheduled because of the falling market.
"At the moment, the contract with Aeroflot for 22 A350 XWB aircraft remains in force and is listed in our stock of orders, which is officially published on the website. As you know, the airline has ordered 14 A350-900 and eight A350-800," Bregier said in an interview with Russia’s Kommersant daily.
He said the company's offer to convert the aircraft to other models had not yet been decided on.
A350 jets can fly between 270 and 350 passengers over a distance of up to 8,100 nautical miles. The XWB widebody family entered service in January 2015 and is characterized by 25 percent lower fuel usage compared with its aluminum counterparts.
