MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Terrorists continue shelling of Aleppo, hampering the ceasefire efforts. According to media reports, over 200 local residents have been killed since April.
"Militants of the Daesh terrorist organization carried out the attack on the Free Syrian Army positions near the town of Azaz, Aleppo province and established control over [several] settlements," the ministry said in a daily bulletin posted on its website.
Syria has been in the state of civil war since 2011. On February 27, a ceasefire worked out by Russia and the United States took effect in the country. Terrorist groups are not covered by the agreement.
