MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Helicopters manufacturer is to take part in the upcoming KADEX-2016 military hardware exhibition in Kazakhstan, with a lineup of civilian and military helicopters to be exhibited, the company said Tuesday.
"The Russian Helicopters holding will take part in the fourth Kazakhstan Defence Expo 2016 (KADEX-2016) international exhibition that will be held on June 2-5, 2016, in Astana, Kazakhstan. In its exhibit, the company will display a lineup of a wide range of military and civilian helicopters," the manufacturer said in a statement.
Russian Helicopters stated that intends to include its new multirole Mi-35M attack helicopters in the exhibit, which will be seen by representatives from Kazakhstan's Interior Ministry, Emergency Ministry and the armed forces. Kazakhstan is a major operator of Russian-made helicopters, the statement added.
"At KADEX-2016, Russian Helicopters will display civilian helicopters as well as military variants. These include a full-scale model of the Ansat multipurpose utility helicopter at a static exhibit, as well as the promising new Mi-171A2 [medium multirole helicopter] and the Mi-38 [multirole helicopter], which have seen significant interest from Kazakhstan's helicopter operators," the manufacturer said.
Russian Helicopters, a subsidiary of Oboronprom (part of Rostec corporation) is a global leader in the field of helicopter manufacturing and the only developer and manufacturer of helicopters in Russia.
