MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Right-wing Afd came under criticism after Alexander Gauland claimed that Germans liked Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, whose father is Ghanaian, as a player but would not want him as a neighbor.
The survey conducted by German pollster Emnid for Bild am Sontag found that AfD’s popularity shrank by 2 percentage points to 12 percent.
The same opinion poll, which sampled 1,851 people between May 25 and June 1, found that support for Socialists and the Greens climbed to 22 and 13 percent respectively, while that of the conservatives remained at 33 percent.
