TEL AVIV (Sputnik) – The statement was made ahead of Netanyahu's visit to Russia dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between the countries.
“Russia is a global power and our relations are getting closer. I worked on this rapprochement and today it is serving us, our national security, preventing unneeded and dangerous clashes at our northern border,” he said as quoted by the press service on Sunday.
According to the press service of the Israeli prime minister, during the visit he is going to discuss with the Russian leadership implementation of the earlier achieved agreements, global fight against terrorism, bilateral economic and trade relations, the situation in Syria and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
