MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Egyptian Ambassador to Russia Mohamed Badri met for talks earlier in the day.
"During the conversation, the parties exchanged views on topical regional issues, focusing on the necessity of the soonest political settlement of the Syrian crisis in accordance with UN Security Council resolutions 2254 and 2268," the statement said.
Bogdanov and Badri also talked about the Palestinian peace process, including the Arab peace initiative, and discussed the practical issues of the Russia-Egypt bilateral relations.
