"Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed has postponed for an uncertain period the submission of the document, that contains the vision of [Yemeni conflict] settlement due to preservation of the differences of the views among the Yemeni conflict parties and the threats that the document will not be accepted if it is not impartial," the source said.
On Monday, a diplomatic source told Sputnik that the UN special envoy was to submit the draft deal to Yemeni negotiators in a short time.
The draft deal was supposed to include key points discussed at the negotiations, including establishment of a joint interim government, supreme military supervision committee as well as mechanisms of firearms surrender and rebel troops withdrawal.
Yemen has been engulfed in a military conflict between the government headed by Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi and Houthi rebels, the country’s main opposition force. The Houthis are backed by army units loyal to former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
