ST. PETERSBURG (Sputnik) – Russian President Vladimir Putin refused to express his opinion Friday about possible British leaving the European Union saying it is a matter of UK and EU affairs.
"That is absolutely not our problem, that is an issue of British people. I have my personal opinion but I cannot answer in advance, I cannot speak about the results [of the referendum] and nobody knows that," he said, adding that it is improper to link Russia to all issues including those, which Russia has nothing to do with.
Voters across the United Kingdom will take part in a referendum on June 23 to decide whether or not the country should exit the European Union.
