LONDON (Sputnik) – The UK government has to make the stabilization of domestic economy its first priority following the vote to leave the European Union, leader of the Labour Party Jeremy Corbyn said delivering a speech in central London on Saturday.
On Thursday, a nationwide referendum was held in Britain in which 51.9 percent of the voters said they were in favor of the United Kingdom leaving the bloc.
"The whole country has got to come together," Corbyn added, stressing that Britons had to unite and discuss issues "calmly and rationally."
The Labour leader said that it was necessary that the conditions of Brexit fully met UK interests.
